Uncle Kurt and the Ophites
The episode narrated in The Mystery of Belicena Villca, of the kidnapping of Uncle Kurt by the Ofitas, during his childhood in Egypt, It contains some hidden clues that it is appropriate to uncover and reveal.
It is advisable to reread the story again, which is reproduced here, in order to appreciate the comments later exposed.
« Things happened like this: my parents had traveled to Cairo – the Family Ingenio is a few kilometers from this city – for the purpose of shopping.
While Mom was entertaining herself in the vast dependencies of the English Store, I, eager for mischief, slipped with great dissimulation towards the street. A moment later he ran several blocks from the Store innocently attracted by the hustle and bustle of the “ Black Market ”, labyrinthine neighborhood of miserable street stalls and safe haven for small beggars and criminals.
That day the human tide was dense through the narrow alleys where the distance between two sales stalls barely left a corridor for pedestrian traffic. Pottery, fruits, rugs, animals, everything imaginable was sold there and before each merchandise my curious eyes stopped. I was not afraid because I had not strayed too far and it would be easy to return or for Mom to find me.
Following an alley I went to give a wide cobbled square, with a fountain fountain, where countless streets and alleys flowed that only the irregular layout of those Cairo neighborhoods can justify. There were hundreds of vendors, bums, beggars, and women with their faces covered by the chador, who collected water in pitchers of fired clay.
I approached the fountain trying to orient myself, regardless of a group of Arabs surrounding singing a snake charmer. This show is very common in Egypt so it wouldn't have caught my attention, except for the unusual fact that seeing me, the Arabs lowered the tone of the song until they were completely silent. At first I did not realize this because the charmer continued to play the flute while the green eyes of the cobra, hypnotized by the music, seemed to look only at me. Suddenly the flute player also joined the group of silent Arabs and I, realizing that something abnormal was happening, one after another took prudent steps back.
The spell was broken when one of them, giving a frightful scream, shouted in Arabic – The Sign! while pointing awkwardly at me. It was like a sign. All at once shouted exaltedly and ran towards me with the discovered intention of capturing me.
There was a terrible stir because as I was a child, I ran among the crowd with greater speed, while my pursuers were hampered by various obstacles, those who eliminated by the expeditious system of throwing to the ground everything that crossed their paths. Luckily the crowd was great and many witnesses to the episode were able to later inform the Police.
The persecution did not last long because the frenetic fanaticism that encouraged those men multiplied their strength, while mine were consumed quickly.
Initially I took a street full of merchants, escaping in the opposite direction from the employee to reach the plaza, but a few blocks away, trying to avoid a multitude of vendors and clients, I went into an alley. This was not straight, but continued to narrow more and more, until it became a one-meter-wide path between the walls of two neighborhoods that had advanced from different directions, without respecting the street.
As I ran, the alley seemed cleaner than obstacles, and consequently my pursuers gained ground, until a stone protruding from the uneven ground rolled me defeated. I was immediately surrounded by the excited Arabs who did not take a moment to wrap myself in one of their layers and carry me imprisoned in powerful arms. The impression was great and unpleasant and, as much as I screamed and cried, nothing seemed to affect my captors who were running now, faster than before.
A while later we reached our destination. Although I could not see, I understood Arabic perfectly and I understood then that the fans called out with loud voices to someone they called Master Naaseno.
At last they released me from the blinded hoodie, depositing me on a soft, regular-size silk cushion. When I got used to the gloom of the place, I found that it was in a spacious room, dimly lit with oil lamps. The floor, covered with rich rugs and cushions, had the presence of a dozen men kneeling, with their heads on the ground, those who from time to time looked up at me and then, clasping their hands over their heads, raised their lost eyes to the sky crying Ophis! ¡Ophis!
Of course, all this frightened me because, although I had not suffered harm, the memory of my parents, and the fact of being a prisoner, caused me great distress.
Sitting on the cushion, surrounded by so many men, it was impossible to think of running away and this certainty ripped out painful sobs. Suddenly, a kind voice sprouted behind my back, bringing momentary hope and comfort to my sufferings. I turned around and saw that a white-bearded old man, wearing a turban, was coming towards me.
– Do not fear son – said in Arabic the old man they called Naaseno –. No one will harm you here. You are an envoy of the Serpent God, Ophis-Lucifer whom we serve. It is proved by the Sign that you bring marked for His Glory.
He indicated in an affectionate gesture that he would allow himself to be taken into his arms, so that “ could teach me the image of God ”. I really was in need of affectionate treatment because those fans did not notice that I was a child. I hugged the old man and he started walking to one end of the room – which turned out to be a basement – where a column rose on whose pedestal a small stone sculpture shone very polished. It was shaped like a cobra raised above itself with shining eyes, perhaps due to the inlay of stones of a more intense green. The image fascinated me and I would have touched it if the old man did not go back in time.
– Did you like the image of God, “ small sent ”? – said the Master.
– Yes – I answered without knowing why.
– You have the right to possess the jewel of the Order. – The Master continued as he rummaged through a thin leather bag around his neck.
– Here it is! – exclaimed Master Naaseno – is the consecrated image of the Serpent God.
To obtain it, men pass hard tests that sometimes take them a lifetime. You, on the other hand, do not need to pass any test because you are the bearer of the sign.
With a sharp dagger that he drew from the belt, he cut a green cord from a bundle that hung on the wall and, stringing the silver replica into a bow, put it on my neck. Then he looked me in the eye, in such an intense way that I could never forget him. Nor did I forget his words, the ones he spoke in a very strong voice, ritually. He held me with his left arm and lifted me up to be seen by everyone, while with the index hand he pointed to the Serpent God. He said this: – Initiates of the Liberating Serpent! ¡Followers
of the Serpent of Uncreated Light! ¡Worshipers of the Avenging Serpent! ¡Here is the Bearer of the Sign of Origin! ¡To the one who can understand with His Sign to the Serpent; to whom he can obtain the Highest Wisdom that is made known to the Mud Man! Inside this Divine child,In the bosom of the eternal Spirit, there is present the Sign of the Enemy of the Creator and of Creation, the Symbol of the Origin of our God and of all the Spirits prisoners of Matter. And that Symbol of Origin has manifested itself in the Sign that we, and no one else, have been able to see: Divine child; he will be able to understand the Serpent from within ! ¡But we, thanks to him, to his liberating Sign, have understood it outside, and nothing can stop us anymore!we have understood his liberating Sign outside, and nothing can stop us anymore!we have understood his liberating Sign outside, and nothing can stop us anymore!
– Yes, Yes We can go now! – shouted in chorus the rampant Initiates Ofitas.
The minutes passed and everything calmed down in the refuge of the Ofita Order. The Arabs were engaged in some kind of preparation, and I, excited about the serpentine gift and reassured by Master Naaseno's good treatment, I was not suspicious when he brought me a glass of refreshing mint. A few minutes later he fell prey to deep torpor, surely because of a narcotic thrown into the drink.
When I woke up I was with my parents, in the British Sanatorium in Cairo, next to a doctor, in white, who tried in vain to convince them that I simply slept.
Over the years, I was rebuilding the actions that led to my release. The Chief of Police reportedly moved quickly, fearing that the kidnapping of a member of the wealthy and influential Von Sübermann family, It would conclude with a purge at the Police Department whose head – would be the first to roll – was him. Through confidants, beggars, bums or simple witnesses, they learned without a doubt that the authors of the kidnapping were the fanatical members of the ancient Gnostic Order “ Ofita ”, considered harmless and even very wise.
This initially puzzled the policemen, who could not glimpse the motive for the kidnapping but, following some clues, arrived at Maestro Naaseno's house. The Arabs, in the euphoria of transporting me there, had behaved recklessly, penetrating all together amid shouts and exclamations. A beggar, an eyewitness to the strange procession, as eager to earn the reward my family had offered, as to avoid police batons, gave the data of the house where the kidnappers entered. This was surrounded by the authorities, but, since nobody answered the calls, the door was forced, finding a humble house, totally empty of people. After a neat inspection, the trap door he was driving was discovered, hidden under a carpet, through a moldy stone staircase, to the buried temple of the Serpent God.
A macabre spectacle surprised those present because, lying on a silk cushion, my lifeless body surrounded by corpses with a convulsed expression that, as a last gesture, they were directing their stiff arms at me.
All of the kidnappers had died of cobra venom. Master Naaseno and the idol were gone.
The impression that the newcomers received was very bad because they thought that I was also dead, but they immediately left their mistake and I was transported to the British Sanatorium together with my parents.
I still had the silver snake around my neck, this being jealously guarded by Dad, although sometimes, years later, he used to show it to me when we remembered that adventure.
At that moment, as I listened to Dad and Rudolph Hess talk about the Ofites, all these events crowded in my mind. »
Let us then proceed to uncover some hidden aspects, in light of hyperborean ophidic gnosis.
On his wandering through the streets of Cairo, Kurt arrives at a cobbled plaza, with a fountain fountain, surrounded by the convergence of multiple alleys, which in Gnostic terms induces the idea/image of a site fortified or sustained in its configuration by the stone, as well as a liberated square, in the middle of the labyrinth, and in which is precisely the gnostic center referring to the origin, represented by the charismatic gnostic group of the Ofitas.
The Ofite Arabs are surrounding the group's driver, Master Naaseno, who embodies here the figure of the charismatic leader. The emanation of that mystique is sustained by the acausal and synchronistic link with the serpent present there, which represents Lucifer.
The snake « seems to be delighted », to the sound of the flute, but in reality it is a reciprocal charismatic contact between the master Naaseno and the Serpent / Lucifer, in which the other initiates of the Ofita group participate.
Somehow, in this initiatory context, Kurt's powerful close presence is noted, due to his projection of the sign of origin, which is manifested simply by his presence.
Both the serpent, the ofitas and their teacher Naaseno, all participating in the same mystical framework, perceive the presence of Kurt.
This is how the sign of origin, externalized and captured by the Ofites, induced in these followers of the serpent a noological understanding of the serpent, and indicating the path of return to Origin.
The description of the cobra, with green eyes like emeralds, also transmits and arouses the Luciferian and Venusian image of the green ray.
That is likewise the subsequent description of the sculpture of the serpent located on the pedestal of a column, which will attract the attention of the child Kurt , and the jewel of the order that Master Naaseno gives him.
Sculpture is a raised serpent, that is, awakened and unfolded to its full potential. The column on which it is found is the noological will of the Self, sustained during his stay in this world from the cold blood of the reptile.
And Kurt's journey is also notorious, having been hooded, that is to say in the dark, to that dim underground enclosure. That is, after having « traveled the descending dark underground path » (the « moldy stone staircase »), and then the strange « lightness » or glow that in that context calls your attention, which comes from the greenish glow of the emeralds in the eyes of the cobra sculpture.
Allusions to the black sun and the green ray appear combined here in a veiled way.
The term » Ophis », which the Ofites cry out, as well as the mention of Ophis Lucifer, refers on the one hand to the root « ophi » from which ophidium derives, and on the other hand Ophis contains etymologically the same meaning as Sophia (name commonly translated as wisdom), which derives precisely from Is Ophi or » Light of the serpent », connoting here the initiatory, revealing and gostic aspect of wisdom, which has always had as an emblem and referring to the serpent: Lucifer on the other hand, as is well known derives from Lux Fer, or » The light bearer ». The light referred to here is not the demiurgic light or the light of this world, but the light of forbidden knowledge, the light of gnosis, the dark light.
Thus under the name of Ophis Lucifer the initiatory aspects of gnosis are evoked, and its means of archaic manifestation, the serpent.
The wise words that the master ofita enunciates, such « as initiates of the liberating Serpent », « Followers of the Serpent of Incredated Light », and « Worshipers of the avenging serpent », clearly denote the aspects of luciferin radiation or » uncreated light », (perceived in this world as unfathomable darkness), liberating gnosis, and the hyperboreal Luciferian ophidic aspect in essential contrast to the creative demiurge and his creation.
The term « Naasene » with which the master of the Ofites is appointed, alludes to an Ophite Gnostic group, known as the Naasenos. Although some have interpreted such a name as derived from Naas or serpent (Very similar to the meaning of Ofita), others have given the meaning as derived from the Greek Naos, or temple, thus pointing to the meeting places, sanctuaries or temples and mystical traditions, which in ancient times were guardians of the secrets of the serpent and initiators of its mysteries. It can be said that one of these sites in the present day was that underground temple of the Serpent God.
One of the conceptions that the Naasen Gnostics used in their knowledge of the serpent's design was that of the serpent as » the moist substance », that behind all objects and phenomena is hidden as an element of cohesion.
Here is the indication that the Naasenos ofitas also had a knowledge of alchemy. And this is where the link with the final part of the story appears.
Having perceived in Kurt the symbol of origin externally, those Ofites decided to leave this world for the Origin.
It is known that many Gnostics participated in strange rites, in which the snake venom was used, either by means of a properly prepared alchemical infusion, or even initiatory tests in which the initiate was effectively bitten by a snake.
And in the case of those Arab Ofitas, it is evident that the use of cobra venom was applied to definitively leave this world, now oriented to the Origin.
But in the case of the boy Kurt, it is said there that he was » asleep », having taken a mint infusion » that Master Naaseno had given him.
Let us remember on the other hand that when the bodies of the Ofites were found, they all lay with their arms extended towards Kurt!
In other words, another hidden aspect is extracted here. And it is that the concoction that Kurt took was a serpentine preparation or elixir, with psychoactive properties, that had to transfer Kurt in the astral plane, from there, bearing the sign of origin, keeping the Luciferian north of those ofitas towards the origin. Experience that later, when regaining consciousness, Kurt at that time would not remember until later.
